Rolex Sealed Hands

"The hands are original, with original tritium and have been sealed by Bob Ridley to abate further cracking or deterioration."

Upon reading an item I became interested in how the process goes to "seal hands"?

A product, very similar to clear nail polish, is applied to the BACK of the hands. The lume/tritium is essentially "sealed" together, keeping it from crumbling or deteriorating any further.
