I don't know what the "Client #" means. I got it from the German Rolex forum watchlounge.com (a member showed it there).

You are probably right

But I think they will have a very hard time copying it, since there are a lot of safety features on the new cards: ROLEXROLEX writing that can only be read under infrared light, a hologramme Coronet and microwriting like on bank notes.

BTW:

The certificate cards for ROLEX will be GREEN
The certificate cards for TUDOR will be RED

Correction:

Rolex cards are: Green + Gold
Tudors cards are: Red + Grey

Cartier has had this since 1979. The CC pass is a good idea; you can take it with you in your wallet. Now one more (free) tip for Rolex SA: follow Cartier's 1979 lead and give a lifetime guarantee on each and every Rolex. If the watches are as good Rolex claims, that should not pose any problem. Cartier did it and certainly Rolex can do this. It shows real trust in your product.

Now Rolex has made it mandatory for their ADs to put down names of all customers and, if not the full address, at least the city and country.

Wow, JJ, I had forgotten all about this old thread of mine

Yes, I did have my name and address written on the card, too, but in fact I had to ASK for it.

My AD did not seem to do this "automatically", since he was about to pack up the whole stuff, and I then asked him to do it for me.

I have never seen those new warranty cards in person before. Are they laminated or are they made the same way as a typical credit card? Thank you to those who answer!

Well, Klarlund is THE Rolex AD in Denmark, but I guess it is not mandatory that the name + address be put on the card.

Until about a year ago it wasn't mandatory in this part of the world. Now Rolex HQ in Melbourne, Australia has ordered all their ADs to do so.

Ah, THAT explains it!

It is because a sheep might come to the AD claiming that the Rolex belongs to it

It will come in and say in a sheepish kinda way: "I am Zemmmmima.......It's mmmmmiiiiiine"

Have now bought from three ADs.Two writes the purchasers name.Today only the date of sale. When asked if they should write my name I said no .... perhaps its more attractive for a resale,if the card is still open.In the VERY unlikely event of me selling it.I suppose the ADs apply the rules as they deem fit.
