Time Accuracy Measurement

When someone posts e.g. -1.5 seconds or +1.5 seconds to indicate time loss or gain per day how is this interpreted? Is the number an adjustment number or does it tell us the watch is running slow or fast. If someone could interpret for me...my new sub c is running about .75 sec/day fast... would this be a plus 0.75 or a minus 0.75. Just curious, thanks.

Thats AWESOME!!! Remember just how many parts are inside for your watch to function properly Under a second off per day is great, you should be thrilled!

Yes, it will worsen or get better!

No way to know, really. It's an incredibly accurate and well made timepiece. Just enjoy it!

+.75s/day, to me it means it gains 5 seconds in 20 days.

Dont get into all this obsession with testing accuracy to the 100th of a second etc. Just wear your watch in good health for the next 40 odd years, and all Rolex chronometers are at the bottom of the scale at least 99.996% accurate or a little better.

thanks for all the replies, just a quick fyi; overnite, when i placed the watch down at 6 o'clock with 12 o'clock up it slows down a tad...good way to correct for fast run during the day while wearing. i'm sure each watch is different but never hurts to experiment to keep time accuracy close to +/- zero per day. obsessive, i know but want it perfect!

Perfect 100% will not happen with any purely mechanical watch, there will be always tiny daily deviations.
