Looks like it came out great! I hope your father is happy with the outcome, it really looks fantastic! Do you still have the original bezel?

Was thinking the same. Could you clean up lume like that or is it done again. No matter what, it looks great.

Nice work, looks ready for another 40 years of duty. The old insert looked pretty good though.

Hands replaced or did he manage to clean them up/re-lume? Looks great now. :)

on the estimate, it says "hands - match to dial" and the cost was $95, so i assume they're replaced. however, the old hands aren't in the packet with all the other old parts, so maybe that was the cost of reluming.

Ok, just interested since my hands on one of my watches mismatches similar as yours did before service. Looks great anyway. Stellar GMT :)

They are a perfect match to the dial plots and look great. IMHO hour hand is of a latter vintage as you can see the thickness of the metal in the Y so to say of the old vs new hand. Nice watch wear it in good health.

Wow looks awesome!!! $95 to match up the hands with the lume plots is a steal IMO. Very cool!
