Which is the cheapest Comex?

Hi, was wondering which is the lowest priced Comex branded ref watch? I know cheapest still means 10's of thousands so is relative:).

Probably a later 16800, as it's a gloss dialed model, however even they are still a lot of cash..... and again with any piece like this, B&P's and anything else that adds more history to the package then the only way is up.

So to answer your question, I would say a loose 16800

Even the gloss dial saphires run a good $40-50k--maybe more as I don't pay attention to them. Once you get into matte 5513,5514,1665 you are into 6 figures. Then you also have the 1680 which is a rare bird--also 6 figures--$125k-150k. They are not cheap and there are not many around!

It is and it still commands $40k+ or so....The 16800 in gloss not matte a bit more.
Of course MP you know more than I can ever know on this topic as you have a dial named after you and a nice one at that!!

thanks !
it seems that prices are growing again : at the last US Christies auction ...
a "crude" 16610 ( no paper-no log book -no history behind ) has done 60 k usd, a price well consistent to the highest market levels ever done ( 2008 )..
not to mention the very good figures made in the European auctions in 2011.

no, the shade of colour depends on the picture taken with a scanner.
the real colour of both inserts is black faded to a dark blue-black ( RAL 5004 )

Whew, thanks for the Comex info guys, really impressive ref.
At current prices, looks like I'll have to play the Lotto more often and hope;) while being happy that some of our guys here have these awesome pieces...is surely a great watch to have in any collectors kitty for sure if one can.

A comex with no history, no box and a service/damaged dial would be of course less expensive...

Looks like this one sold for 34K or less, which one is this 16610? Do Comexes come with B&P?
