I miss my GMTIIc

I not so long ago swapped my GMTIIc for a Submariner LV. I know I made the right decision because stratches on the PLC's used to drive me insane! I'm currently in the market for a new YG GMTIIc or some form of DD. Sad to have let this one go!!

Here is just a few photo's of the short life my GMT had on my wrist

I was thinking about trade my GMTIIC for the SubC LV too but then changed my mind. I'm glad I didn't do it. Instead, I going to save some more to get the SubC LV.

Always REALLY think and slow yourself down when you are considering swapping a watch. Saving is the best way to do it I do think I made the best decision though!

Good advice Dino! I don't know if I would ever flip/sell any of mine. Or maybe I should...

You could always brush the PCL's on the GMT - see a few forum members do it and it's tempting me to do the same with my SS Daytona!

GMT is beautiful and if PCL is the only thing that was bugging you, then brush it. It's easy.

I fel your pain Dino. I sold my GMT II C and I really miss it.

My girlfriend was not my girlfriend at the time I sold it. She saw it at an AD and immediatley went to it. She said this is the coolest of all the men's Rolex and you should have this one. I could barely tell her that I once did but that I sold it. She looked at me like I was an idiot in disbelief.

I thought about it but I think it will effect the resale value. I like to leave my Rolex's stock.

You do realize that the YG GMTIIc has PCL? Furthermore it's gold... it'll show scratches just as much.

I did get hold of the GMTIIc instantly, the Subc LV took longer to order in. I think the Subc LV has more of a "rarity" to it, thats why I couldnt miss the opportunity to own it

I certainly do BUT!! Like I said, I'm just considering a few different models for now

X2. Dino, i thought about the LV and i would have had to sell my IIC and that aint gonna happen. I so desire an 18 kt yg gmt but, i'll probaby never be able to afford that. So, the ss IIC is as close to that dream as ill probably get. Am i disappointed? Well, id say i am already lucky to have a Rolex or two.

I was on the other side just a short while back. I had an LV and traded it in with a GMT II c. I had to add some money since GMT's over here were in scarce supply and AD's were raising prices. But I love my GMT II c It has a bulkier look and is more refined. I am sure the chap who got my LV will read this thread. You got a good LV my friend! If I flip it, Ill let you know!

Hey I swapped my IIc for the Sub and did make the right decision. Its up to you!! Those scratches do drive you a little crazy after a while though, just IMO.

Just got one...

I just picked up a GMT IIc and love it!

As far as the pcl scratches, I wear a dress shirt everyday m - fri so it has not been a problem.

I have also ordered a Swiss Ammo and will pick up a NATO as well to change up the look every now and then.

I persoannly love the Green accents Rolex implemented on this watch, it's the cat's meow for me....

Will post pics and thank you's when I get everything in.

Hey Dino..

Why not just buy another SS GMTC and save yourself a ton of cash over the 18k version. sounds like you really miss it.
I have an 18k GMTC but rarely wear it other than special occasions because all gold isn't too practical for me for daily wear. Beautiful watch, no doubt.
Totally loving my LVC though. I know you do too.
Good luck with the decision.
