Tourneau pre-owned at the King of Prussia mall . . .
I ventured into their lair on the 4th, and, with the Rolex Boutique,
finally figured out why the inside seems so much smaller now! Anyway, checking out the used Rolexes, I was struck by overpricing and bad polishing. • Late '90s 16264 TOG missing two links with a sloppy polish. $5500 ! • 18239 DayDate index/black was missing links, nasty "polish" job, and felt gritty. $17,500 Humm, both priced at about twice street value. Otherwise, a decent experience. Fast friendly attention, nice selection of other watches. |

If they can sell them at that price, and they are not looking to build their business based on the excellent service they provide............................

The Tourneau at the Burlington Mall in Burlington, MA has a good selection of pre-owned at decent prices. And the ladies that work there are really hot . . .

So you were one of "those people" that had nothing better to do at the mall yesterday...
Just playing...I was working at the Apple store and we were all wondering why no one was home barbecuing. I agree with the over-pricing of their pre-owned selections...a couple weeks ago they had a '93 TT serti Sub priced at just under $8k... |

I don't understand the need to make a self righteous statement like that but whatever... Outside of an app or jail breaking it there is no way to do that. I hope you don't expect the sales people to be aware of every app and their functions... |

I have been to this Tourneau at KoP twice. I had very bad experiences. I did notice their pre-owned selection and was not impressed with it or the prices.

Sorry about that, Walton. Absolutely no insult intended.
However, sometimes I want to check out a piece of equipment, and someone comes up, insisting on helping me. But it turns out they know less than I do about the item. Instead of help, it is painful as they try to appear knowledgeable, rather than saying, "I don't know. Let's check the online database". Or, "Let me check with a co-worker". The myth that every Apple employee is an Apple junkie is just that, a myth. |

Then you have obviously never dealt with me...lol. I literally say "I don't know" at least 5 times a day and either google the question or ask someone who I know will know the answer. Basing a salesperson's knowledge on them not knowing about an app that will allow you to have multiple users on an iPad is a bit unfair... |

Hey, Walton - Meet me behind the General Forum and we'll settle this like men!
Back to ROLEX: So, what I forgot to mention in the first post, was this: How does Tourneau get away with selling used Rolex watches adjacent to a Rolex Boutique? The representative immediately commented that since the Boutique opened, they have have a hard time keeping any [used] preowned Rolex watches around for any length of time. |

Back to the original point of overpriced used watches at Tourneau. I would presume, given the breadth and experience of their business, they know how to price watches. Even though many on this forum wouldn't pay those prices, apparently there are others out there that will. Just as some on this forum know how to get good discounts on new, many others pay MSRP.

Tourneau has gone downhill over last few years and sounds like that has not changed.

A few months ago they had a TT Daytona used for $14,500. Slightly abused!
Try Benari jewelers in Exton. They will haggle. Turdnew won't. |
