Bracelet types, years used?
Approximately what year did the rivet band give way to the folded link band and then finally to the style of bands with the links held together with screws?

Folded bands were introduced late '68 early '69
The Swiss rivet stopped around '70. The USA rivet C&I stopped around '78 Solid bands were introduced in '76. There was always over lap of the old when the new was introduced. Jeff |

Jeff - Great post! What band would have originally come on a 5512 from 1962?

I would wear a rivet bracelet on any of my Rolex watches, age appropriate or not. They are so cool.

Interesting that the folded bands were only around for 6-7 years, for Rolex that is a really short time to produce something. Thanks guys, great info.

My pleasure Rick! Again the 7206 and 80's is what that watch came on.

Know where I can find pictures of folded band and rivet band? I'm looking at purchasing a '69 Ladies DateJust and the bracelet has thrown me a bit. I'm only familiar with the solid links on Rolexs.
