Should have added mine are probably Howard Cosell--boy, when I heard that voice as a child, I just knew it was Monday Night Football.

Also used to love Pat Summerall. Always a wonderful Sunday.

Dan, I know you are a cyclist--I am not, and I had ZERO interest in the Tour de France until I just happened to turn to Versus this year when it was on. The announcers immediately brought me into the drama in a way that I could actually understand. I'm hooked. I've recorded every stage sense. I'm not hopping on a bike--probably never, as basketball and football are more my style--but I am certain I will now be a lifelong fan of the Tour and will tune in every year, mainly because of those guys calling the race.

Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwin really add the right tone and make it a great sport to watch.

Both ride [Sherwin a former pro cyclist] and can highlight many things the average viewer would miss. I specifically tape the shows w/ Phil and Paul rather than the longer versions w/ Bob Roll and the American announcers.

Actully Jenn Brown is my all-time favorite even over Erin Andrews. Jenn Brown is on ESPN's Inside the NFL and ESPN's College Game Day. A woman who knows football. I mean I only appreciate her for her knowledge.

Just thought of another sportscaster I used to like alot. Good ole Jackie Stewart doing racing announcing back in the 70's. That excited Scottish accent was classic. As recongnizable as Cossells.
