Ever rose/rose gold daytonta?

Close to pulling the trigger. What is the consensus regarding the gold dial with black sub dials vs the reverse? What about the new strap version with the ceramic bezel which seem to be coming out?

I would seriously consider getting one it they came in white gold. Still it's a very beautiful watch I still might have to try one on just to see how it looks.

I have looked at both for a while and I think the Black dial looks better on the RG Daytona.

The new version should be out sometime this fall.

Mighty steep price tag to be shopping by "consensus". It is a distinctive watch. If you like it, buy it.

Its a fantastic looking watch. I had the chance to try one on and the look just blew me away. For me, its the black dial with everose subdials. But get the one that brings the smile to your face!

Both versions are amazing!

I think I prefer the RG subdials.
Either way, I would definately go for the bracelet as opposed to the strap.

Thanks for the feedback. I understand from another post is the new ceramic daytonas will list for around 27. Given they won't be discounted as much and that the full gold on bracelet list for around 35 with a more healthy discount that may be the way to go. Still on the fence about the black vs gold face and opposite sub dials? Does the gold looking face have more gold content than the black face? Do you guys really think the ceramic bezels will find their way to all daytonas? I would be bummed if in a year they are introduced in the all gold models. I still wonder if this is a one off model as rolex normally introduces a change in the full line of gold models first.

You can never predict with absolute certaintity what Rolex will do. If I were to guess, I would guess they will. But this is a guess.

If your in doubt in regards to what you want to do, I would recomend waiting before you are certain as to what you want to do. Especially since all gold models typically depreciate so greatly right after purchase.

Everose Daytona is stunning, simply stunning. I wish I had pulled the trigger several years ago when I had a good price offered to me, and this was before the recent price increases.

Probably the best looking contemporary Daytona, IMO.

I'm in the process of getting one with a black dial, I think it frames the whole face and in particular the subdials better than the RG dial.

I haven't seen this in person or many pictures of it yet, but if any of you get the magazine Autoweek, they had a watch article in the June 27 issue. They have a picture of an Everose Daytona, white face, black leather straps, black Cerachrom bezel and rg subdials. Anyone have this or seen this in person yet? The picture really grabbed my attention! Price in the article is $27,650.

*The watch is to be released during the Fall/Winter season. These watches were tried on during the Rolex Baselworld NY event.*
I have had a chance to try on the 116515LN models, both in the Chocolate and Ivory Dials. The "Chocolate" version is much darker in person than shown in the catalogs for sure. I had a tough time reading the watch because everything was so dark! Very good looking watch, but almost felt feminine.
The Ivory model is much more handsome IMO. The dial was very easy to read and had a much more "Timeless" feel. The monoblok cerachrom bezel stood out due to the ivory dial/black bezel contrast, enhancing the presence of the new bezel; Whereas the bezel blended into both the bracelet and dial in the chocolate edition.

Overall, both watches are knockouts! I would post the pictures of them on my wrist so you can see the difference, but Rolex demanded I keep the pictures off the forums.

After Baselworld, I think my updated list of Rolexes I want to buy is:

1. 42mm Explorer II - Black Dial
2. Everose Daytona C - Ivory Dial
3. YG Submariner - Black/Black
4. Explorer I
5. T/T Rose Yacht-Master II (another soon to be released watch that is to die for!)

Cheers,
Kyle

Thanks Kyle! Since my post above, I did find some pictures of it on a blog. Not sure if it would be appropriate to post given your comments, but I'm assuming that since they have put the picture in a national magazine that it's ok. I agree with you about the ivory face...love it! I've been drooling over the picture on a daily basis.

Picture is from the blog here: http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2011/4/...ce-a-blac.html

I think the RG Daytona w/ RG sundials and black face is the nicest Rolex watch of all time. Well, maybe 2nd to the Plat DDII.

Ohhhh, that looks nice too, but I think my personal preference is with white dials. (My current Daytona is SS/White) I can't wait to see these in person though, I think the final decision will have to be made then!
