How old to be vintage?

Hello guys,

Is a 1986 Sea dweller considered a vintage watch ?
What would be the most accepted criteria to define a watch as vintage?
thanks,

Some use whether it has an acrylic crystal or not. At some point this should change however as time moves on.

That & four model numbers. Now collector watches a different story & many view them as vintage already.

Practically any acrylic crystal model and any watch with more than 30+ years.

25+ years. In some cases models that have been discontinued could get there quicker.

Does that rule out Milsubs since they have no lug holes?

25-years-old, I'd definitely call it vintage.

In the car world a classic is 25 years and vintage would be fifty I think unless it's changed. Rikki

Doesn't that rule radium out as it is not tritium?

Sorry, I just meant having patina on the markers/hands adds to it being vintage as it sort of provides a 'proof' of age.

Thanks.

It's a 16610, R serial from 1987. Other than the cream colored markers, it looks and feels brand new.
