My (Brief) Acting Career

The year is 1999, I had just decided to leave the Navy after serving 12 years as a pilot (OK I GOT KICKED OUT!!!! Can we move on now please? Geeesh ) So.. anyway... after being asked to leave the Navy as an Officer (Lieutenant) I was at a complete crossroads in life. What do I do? Go back in to my degree? (Engineering). Fly Civilian? (Really didn't want to do that) Try to pick up that dream I had as a male Exotic dancer? (Probably wouldn't have done too well... ). How about acting? This may come as a suprise to you... But I am NOT shy in front of people or on stage. I have no money, no family, nothing holding me back... Sure, I'll try acting... Why the hell not?

Well, for about six months I did auditions, try outs yaddah yaddah yaddah... I actually landed two comercials... for a total air time of about... oh... 16 seconds. But hey, I can say I did it!

I was looking through some old videos on the computer and guess what I came across.... One of my comercials. You see my hands at about 1:10 in to it and my big line: "For less then.... " Starts at about a minute and twenty five seconds in.... So, everyone is welcome to view and let me know what you think. (Except Jocke )

I could have been the next Brad Pitt!!!!

Your right though, I can tell you would have been awesome. Brad must have paid somebody off. Just unfair I tell you.

Paul, why did they wipe you out of the studio when the camera stops?

Jocke? Jocke my friend... are you feverish? That's it? THAT'S the only response you have to this? I... I expected SO MUCH more... Like.. I don't know, photo-shop of me doing the comercial with Nicole Curtis... Or... some horse or something.

Jocke? Are you sick my friend?

Uh Oh Paul, potential law suit.

How's that short lived acting career working for you now?
