Strap Change Question

Hi,

I have a PAM 292. I bought the new green canvas strap for it and am trying to figure out how to change the strap. I see there are a few flathead screws on the case and buckle. My question is, is this watch supposed to come with the strap change tool, or is that just other models. I don't want to take a standard eyeglass screwdriver and scratch the watch up.

Can anyone link me to where to purchase the best tool for the job and possibly a guide to changing straps on this watch?

If there are flathead screws on the case and buckle- then the screwdriver it came with is the tool you need to effect thr strap change....
Only PAMs with the push-button on the revers side of the lug utilise the "tool" for the quick change. Complete directions should be in your instruction manual...

From what I understand this Radiomir doesn't come with a screwdriver. But from what I've read so far I'm looking for a 1.60mm flathead screwdriver.

1.4mm screwdriver for radiomirs.

Here is a pic disassembled, but being a 292 you are going to have some inserts into the case you'll have in addition.

Thanks Mik- I had a brainfart. I thought 292 was the Luminor on a bracelet for some reason....
I'll get my coat...

Sadly, the screws on the 292 are black coated and they start to flake the first time you do a strap change. Its no big deal for the stainless rads, because it is very easy to buy replacement screws and lugs for it. I advise changing to stainless screws right away (no one sees it anyway!) and only put back the black ones when you decide to sell the watch.

Enjoy!
