For DD Owners - How Often and Where Do You Wear It?

Greetings Fellow TRFers,

I had a thread a while back about a DD or BMW and after doing some soul searching I'm thinking the DD will be the mid-life uber purchase

I've worn Rolexes for 20+ years but this will be my first foray into the Crown Collection. A DD is quite obvious and visable from across a football field. Not too worried about some urchin taking it unless of course it's at gunpoint. Not gonna try any Steven Segal stuff that only works in the movies you know?

Anyway for all you DD owners where do you find yourselves wearing your DD most often? ALso how often do you like to wear it?

I tend to wear my white DD more often (3-4 days a week) when I have it on a strap. More comfort, better fit, less flash.

I wear my DD on occasion just to give it wrist time .. I also have a tridor master piece that I wear more often than my DD .. I like the look of it and it works well for me .. My TT DJ gets most wrist time because of it's sentimental value

I wear mine on rotation but there isn't any regular pattern to the rotation, basically wear when I feel like it. I wear it at work. It is one of my favorite watch partly due to how glittery it is with the YG, design of the president bracelet and the fluted bezel catching the light and more so under the sun.

The DD is a beauty, my partners grandfather had a 1800 series pie pan DD which was stolen from him in a stick up outside a supermarket in south Florida in the early 1980's.

I don't wear it too often, special occasions only, ie. weddings, baptisms...
Maybe 3-4 times a year?
I can wear anything I want to work, shorts, sneakers, baseball caps, so the DD just won't blend in.
DSSD, is my daily wear, for now

I stopped wearing mine about 5 years ago when someone in BH said I looked like a New York garmento with that watch on. I've never worn any other jewelry other than a watch and a ring off and on so needless to say I was surprised. It must have stayed with me as I've only put it back on maybe twice since then. My own insecurities since then I guess

About 2 times a week. It really depends on where I am going. If it's work or class at night I won't wear it. My golden rule is wear it in places where the chance of getting robed are slim to none. It's sad because I love wearing it and I'm limited to where I can wear it to.

Never without a suit or tux.

Its a special watch and not a daily wearer.

As newRolexman said, it's a special watch for me too - not a dailer driver.

I did wear mine more often (I'm in a suit n tie job) but when I found out that the bark finish was no longer available and knowing how ding-prone 18K YG can be, I started wearing it only for special occasions.

Of course, this necesitated a new acqusition to fill in the void in the rotation. ;)

I wear one of my DD's at least every other day. The WG and the YG 1803 with lizard strap are a little more subtle, but not by a lot. I don't wear them for others to see and I don't care what others think. JMHO

I wear mine just about all the time.

I only take it off if its an activity that might damage it, or I am in a questionable area where I'm a theft target.

A few times a month, mostly based on the occasion. Sometimes I wear it if I'm feeling a little floaty and need more ballast...
