Chocolate Daytona

Tried to search a little, but couldn't find any other user experiences with the new 116515. So, I'll post some pictures from my visit to the local AD on Wednesday.

First of all... The "AD experience" ;)

And then the watch :)

I'm in love!

I would really, really like to take this one home with me. But, not this time, unfortunately...

Nice, but the 'The "AD experience" will be the most expensive espresso and cake you ever had :-)

Norway is expensive. But our wages are also quite high.

The retail price in Norway is NOK 181,500. This is approx. $33,600/€23,300/£20,600.

Like the Sub-C LV, it's really difficult to see the real color of the dial in pictures. It looks MUCH better irl The color is more like the everose gold that the case is made from :)

X2 It looks more "together" in the skin. Not my cup of tea but it did look stunning on display under lights.

Beautiful watch!!! Now, that's how ADs should treat customers everywhere. The AD experience here in the U.S. is so bad.

Beautiful watch but way to expensive. For that price, it should have a gold bracelet and even then way expensive. I do like the durability of the ceramic bezel insert. My GMTIIC bezel still looks great after almost two years of mostly daily wear.

Wages might be high, but try justifying 3$ for two ordinary onions in Oslo. Bora Bora seems like backpacking in Hungary compared. Got a Deep Sea in Oslo at 11.600$US two years ago. Sure they were polite. "I really love working here, taking brand new timepieces home for a day or two makes me knowledgeable". Figured out the scratches. +30.000$ in Norway for a 18K Rolex non bracelet - if you really fear crossing borders go for it.

Where do you do your shopping? Two onions should be less than $1 ;)

Using common sense, buying a Rolex is stupidity. Far too expensive. But, it´s all about the feeling ;)
