I have heard they are very unpopular. If this it true, why is this? I personally like the look of a Turn-o-Graph.

Good question. I love mine...a good combo of classic and sporty. But my guess is that since it is more classic than sporty, most DJ buyers want the classic look...if they want sporty, then these folks go to the pure sports model. The price TOG pays for trying to play both sides!

The TOG is simply a 'souped-up' Datejust. Also, Rolex offers lots of dial / bezel / bracelet options which is cool. Personally, I really like mine & will never sell it. Too bad it's a poor seller but so was the original Milgauss. Enjoy your TOG. Best, Mark.

True, today's models are - though the bi-directional rotating bezel is kind of fun.

But if you read a little about the history of the turnograph (nicknamed Thunderbird) it was really the watch that spawned the sports watch design.

There are a number of members who own one here. It's just not as popular as a Sub or GMT.

i think they look great ,,,, older the better , mind you , new white face and rose gold is smart , just a subtle sub for everyday.

Ya I think they are great looking watches. Some of the best looking Rolex watches in my opinion, but we have a lot of trouble selling them for whatever reason.

My father's 1950's t-bird is the model that got me interested in the brand. Great watch-- just a bit sportier than a DJ.

IMO the TOG would be perfect if it was 39mm...It's sporty so 36mm is just too small...

I agree with you. My first Rolex was a Turn-o-Graph. I love the bezel on the older models.
