140+ Possible Counterfeit Bracelets

Seller: Myjewelrygallery

http://www.ebay.com/sch/Wristwatches...=p3286.c0.m283

Over 140 bracelets listed! At first glace it would appear these are just your typical aftermarket junk bracelets, as most don’t have the coronet on the outer clasp. However, in some of the photos you can make out the Rolex markings/hallmarks on the inner blades (on both President and Oyster styles). Of course, he strategically omits direct pictures of the inner clasps in his photos as to stay under the radar.

Eric, I checked a few out and could not find, can you give the links to these? A hell of a long list to wade through.

Yeah, I know there are a ton (and the lisitngs are slow to load due to imbedded pic urls). I've attached a couple pics from the listings so you can see what I'm talking about regarding the inner clasp markings.

Obviously it would be a total pain to report each individual listing, so maybe we can report the actual seller (as described by Grissom in this forum earlier).

Also, FYI: f you save the pics in the listings (right click, save picture as) they will save as the full hi-res versions.

One can report multiple listings at one hit, so that is no problem. Have you a link to the pictures here in your post so I can blow up and look closer because from the pictures posted here I cannot make much out at all. Certainly nothing that I could take action on. thanks.

Here are a few direct links to his pictures used in the listings. I also sent him an email stating that I would be interested in his aftermarket bracelets if they had the Rolex markings, but I couldn'd tell from his pictures. He emailed me back the following attached pics:

The seller never said they are made by Rolex; they seem to be third party bracelets made to fit Rolexes.

Eric has stated that he saw some bands with Rolex marks on them, if so they could be counterfeit. I am asking for links to those listings.

Yes, I know. Hence my comment that at first glance that is exactly what they looked like (simply aftermarket). However, if you actually look at the photos, the Rolex engravings are evident on the inner clasp. The seller seems to intentionally never show close-ups of the inside of the clasp (part that touches your wrist) as well.

So he's playing it very safe, on eBay, by not posting these pics......

How would one go about reporting such an issue?

Exactly.

Hopefully we can at least cut him off from his eBay channel of peddling counterfeits. Not sure, but a few guys here might have connections higher up the chain @ eBay so they will take appropriate action.

We can but try.

IMO technically, and from eBays point, he is not doing anything against their TOS as he is stating aftermarket and he is not showing any trademarks.

Although when queried by Eric, he then sends photographs clearly showing the counterfeit Rolex markings on the bands. His high feedback score has to be in his favour.

OK so I'll take it further but won't hear back for around 12 hours at best, not holding my breath because this guy is playing safe but we will see what we can do.

Report it to Rolex and they will stop him on e-bay.

Another 72 counterfeit bands listed by this seller have been invalidated by eBay.......

Those that remain are only there because they do not have the word bracelet or band in their description and they escaped the elimination process.....for now.

Plenty of bezels remain and as these are not trademarked, they will be impossible to remove. Restrictions on this sellers account are in place.

Not exactly.

140 obvious counterfeit bands were removed on 10/9/11. Nothing has been listed since 30/8/11.

This is not the regular "invalidate and move on" scenario, and this is on going.........have a little patience........
