1979 gold Rolex Datejust
My recently acquired 1979, 18k gold Rolex Datejust.
It's a bit scuffed, but it's been worn! It's also a family heirloom which makes it even more special. Fairly heavy on the wrist, but makes you remember it's there ; )! Would anyone know how many grams of gold actually goes into a watch like this? Just curious seeing that gold is fluttering at $1850/ounce. |

Welcome to TRF.
Nice looking watch. You would probably get more responses in the gereal discussion part of the forum, however someone may still come along who has some experience with this subject.

Just plop it on a kitchen scale, subtract 20-25g for the movement/crystal and multiply by 0.75 to get the 24ct weight.
