Tourneau Service Center

Purchased my Submariner ND COSC 2 1/2 years ago from Tourneau. Checked the accuracy this month and its running 8 seconds fast according to my calculations. Brought the watch in to see what they said. My salesman was there and was very helpful. Brought the watch in the back and checked it. Said it was fast almost 10 secs day! He demagnatized it and he said it still 8 sec fast.

My 2 year Rolex warranty has recently expired he said but told me Tourneau offers an additional 1 year on top of Rolex's. He said they dont send it to Rolex NYC but to their own watch repair service center in LIC( Long Island City) for the service.

Does anyone have any experience with them or any of their service centers? I would much rather prefer the Sub go to Rolex(but not willing to fork over hundreds of dollars to do it) but Im thinking it should be safe to trust them with the correction. Any comments appreciated.

I would call RSC to see of they will regulate your watch for free, even out of warranty. Worth a try.

Tourneau service center is good, thing is, I was told by a tourneau salesperson that they do not work on rolexes in the service center but send the watches to RSC...

I just had my Datejust serviced by Tourneau, and they worked on it in their Long Island City facility. I'm satisfied with the service but would definitely recommend you avoid them if possible.

Given how expensive it was for them to work on it (700 for a complete service), I expected them to live up to their prestige. However, I constantly had to follow up, and worst of all when the watch left the LIC facility, it went into limbo for five days. Neither the store nor the contact center knew where the watch was; needless to say I got seriously worried.

Perhaps the most disappointing thing was when I picked it up. The watch was handed to me wrapped in tissue paper and they said "your two year warranty starts now". And that was the end of the transaction.

The watch is running perfectly and the work done on it is great. But receiving it on tissue paper really brought the experience down, to sub standard levels

My dad had his Cartier Tank battery changed many years ago, it cost him a hundred dollars and on top of that they left scratches on the back and they didn't even put the gasket back correctly. Maybe things have changed though...

I've had Tourneau service my Breitling and they did a great job. Others I know, haven't had the same kind of experience.

update- Dropped the watch off at the AD. Did all the paperwork. Asked them to regulate, lubricate as needed and pressure test. Said it will take a couple of weeks. Tried on a GMT and DJII. Decisions, decisions.lol.

Will let you know how the service went when I get it back. Thanks foe the replys.

Regulation takes 50seconds ,PT and other 60,hard to understand what they will make for weeks

not really. shipping back and forth and they're not sitting around with nothing to do waiting for my Sub to come in so they can work on it like a F1 pit crew.
They likely do thousands of watches there every week.
How long does it take to get service completed at RSC? Weeks if not months, read about it here all the time. Really dont know what you're getting at anyway.

You are close to the RSC. The regulation takes 5 min and they would probably do it for a lot less than you think (if not free.) Its not like its will require a service so give them a call and check it out. Good Luck!

i have had a bad experience with their service center. they quoted me 3 weeks and it took two months! also, when the watch came back, it was more broken than when it left! they fixed it at least on the spot.

i sent in the watch for it to be polished and have the watch re calibrated because it was running abut a 4 to 6 seconds slow per day. when i got the watch back, it was loosing about 8-10 a day

Find someone who can do it locally while you wait or at least in a few days at most.

Why ship a watch for a simple regulation?

Watch was sent out today. Its a done deal. They're also going to do a full service/lubrication, check seals and all and pressure test. I know its earlier than what Rolex recommends but I'll take it, especially for free. If they screw anything up they will regret it.
I'll post up when its returned.

Tourneau got the watch back to me in 3 weeks time. They regulated it to less than +1 second a day from the +8-10 it was running.
No damage to exterior of watch. I asked them to make sure they pressure tested it as Im a diver and dont want any issues at depth. They said they did. No charges, all covered under their extended warranty. Im very pleased with the service done.

It actually is better. When I bought it new it was 2-2.5 seconds fast a day. They cut that by more than half. I'll be very happy if it stays that way for some years.

I had my rolex serviced with them before when it was still under warranty. They shipped to rolex for that service though. My wife's Cartier Tank had replaced batteries a couple times from them. Since we bought the watch from them, they offer life time battery replacement service. I am too lazy to get down to the store, I just change the battery myself now.
