Yachtmaster TT gold?!?
Hi guys and gals
I had a TT Yacht-master come in for a push pin replacement today I was quite happy as Rolex's don't often come my way However when I was inspecting it the bezel had some of the gold come off. And it wasn't just the insert where it had worn away. It was also the ring/assembly. Now I was a bit hesitant, so to make sure it was a gen I popped the back and there was the trusty old cal 3135 beating away. The serial numbers all were there and worked out it was about 1998-1999. The gent had this watch from new and never had it serviced, so was a little upset when I told him it might not look real The question I have though did Rolex ever plate their gold YM bezels? I've attached some iPhone pics, (she wasn't too happy with me taking photos). Any info would be great thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Never owned a gold model but I won't believe Rolex has ever plated any of their watches.

Definitely a fake Mitch. Pictures aren't the best, but the dial is wrong and so are the hands! The case lugs appear to be the wrong shape as well!
Rolex never plated the bezel ring or insert either.....I'm surprised you said it was running on a genuine movement!

A good picture of the movement would help. It's probably a fake like the rest.
