The warranty on my GMT IIC is almost up
My GMT IIC has been running -2 seconds/24hours consistently since it was purchased almost two years ago. The warranty will be up in a couple of weeks and I'm trying to decide if I should bring it to the RSC to be regulated. I know that this is well within COSC specs, but I would prefer it to run slightly fast rather than slow, but it certainly hasn't been a big deal so far.
I would appreciate to hear your opinions as to whether I should bring it in.

I am guessing they would not regulate this for being -2 as you stated it is within COSC standards.
There is an old saying that it it isnt broken...dont fix it This is what I would live by in this situation. In fact if you are truly concerned about this just drop by an AD and they can do this for you in about 30 minute while you wait, no reason to send to RSC and be without your watch for several weeks. Again, for -2 I would NOT touch it

In general, Rolex may not adjust it if it's within COSC spec, although they did adjust my DSSD that was +5 a day ;) If it bothers you....I'd do it.
FWIW: I have one that loses a second during the day, but if I place it face up overnight it gains 2 (crown up/crown down it loses 2). |

That's far to close to warrant any tampering IMO.
Think about it, after 7 days, you'd be 14 seconds late. After 1 month, you'd be 56 seconds late! If after 1 month, a less than 1 minute deflection should hamper your time constraints, you should be thinking about slowing down yourself! IMO, -2 to + 2, is next to perfect!

Thanks everyone. I'll probably just leave it as it doesn't make sense to open it up.

Myron, my 11 year old GMT II is within 2 seconds. I wouldn't worry to much about it.

I have exactly the same issue with mine .( -2sec / day) It doesn't bother me at all , but it is personal preference so if this - 2 sec/ day trouble you take it in!

I brought my GMT II C into the NY RSC to be regulated under warranty when it was running about 3 seconds slow. I wanted it to be on the fast side. They corrected the problem within 20 minutes while I waited. If it bothers you, I would go ahead and do it.
