AD contacted me...

So I need to share this because it made me laugh and made me angry at the same time.

A few days ago I got an email from my trusty AD, the one who is supposed to call me the second he gets a 372.

The email says he has some new Panerai stock, and to call him if interested.

I immediately reached out, and eventually we're talking. As the discussion unfolds, it becomes clear that he has nothing that he didn't have the last time we spoke over the summer.

Bummed, but at least I got to remind him that I am still in the market.

How do you guys feel about calls like this?

i've had similar calls from the boutique sales person telling me they have new arrival of standard PAM models. seems like sales of the standard models are slow as every one is anticipating arrivals of the new 2011 models.

Yeah, but these weren't even new to the shop. They were the exact same models he told me about three months ago!!!

doubt you were the only one to get the same call,if it was the same old stock you already knew about and he was aware of that, then sounds to me you're just another name on a long list, not good really when your spending that kind of money, just start looking for a new AD when he rings you about the new Rolex he just got in.

Possibly. He did take care of me when they got the 359 in last year. I don't buy Rolex there (anymore).
