One watch might have to leave my collection
I have a small collection of watches, it may not look that much to some of you guys but I am very pleased that I could put it together, but as always there are other models that you want to get to know. I have long wanted to add a Panerai to my collection to get some more variation and a watch that looks awesome with a leather strap. Would like to keep all the watches in the collection but I can not have more watches laying around than I have now.
Would have to drop one of them for the benefit of a Panerai 1A, 2A or Pam 4. The question is, which one should be removed from my current collection: -Rolex Daytona A-series, white dial. Just bought it and like it very much. -Rolex GMT Pepsi, birth year. Don´t get to wear it much, but still special. -Rolex Sub-date, daily wearer. -Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch, like the design, but not so much wristtime. -Omega Seamaster Chrono, my first really nice watch. I need a rugged watch that I can use at my leisure and work. I work with security in an office or outdoor environment, I do not wear a suit, if it helps. Would be nice with some input. Let me know your thoughts. Have a nice day! / / Fred |

I would drop the Daytona or the Speedmaster I think.
Personally neither really "do it" for me, and the other three all either seem to have a significance for you or are worn daily. They seem the obvious keepers to me... |

I really don't care for the Seamaster personally though, do I'd let that one go too. Quote:
This has easily become my most worn watch, I wouldn't trade it for a hundred DSSDs. |

Fredrik, listen to your wise Danish neighbour and don't cull anything for a Panerai without first trying one on.
Recently I lusted for the brand as well but that very soon died down. If you haven't already worn a Panerai for a few days, try one on and see if it's the pictures of Panerai you like or the actual look of the watch on your wrist. you might be surprised...

Mate I was drooling over Panerais, all the pics, window shopping, man i was there and ready to spend! Then i tried one on for a few days and I can see the strap attraction and all of that, but it's not a Rolex, I got tired of the strap thing after a day and there was no love when I looked down. I couldn't wait to put on a SS Rolex or Omega as soon as I got home So I was very close to being sucked into the Richemont brand circus and glad I didn't To me the DSSD will win over Panerai any day, the clasp on the DSSD... i needn't say more

i really like the speedy, but, if you don't wear it too much and since you have a daytona, maybe consider flipping it.....although, in the end, you have a nice collection, so, i'd rather save a bit longer and add rather than subtract.

Seeing the speedy doesn't get much wrist time, that seems like the one to sell but I think you should probably save a bit longer and keep them all.

First and foremost, awesome collection! I believe MANY would be quite proud of it!
I myself would definitely not get rid of any Rolexes. A SS Daytona with a white dial and a black Sub is an awesome combination of watches that can be used in a variety of environments and dress attires! Add the Pepsi GMT and that just makes the options limitless and very tasteful. I feel like if those were the only three you could have, you would still be absolutely set. If you're Seamaster has sentimental value being your first really nice watch I would not get rid of it. I personally am more fond of the Speedmaster, especially manual wind Moon, but it seems like that is the one that would appear to make the most sense to get rid of. I definitely think the Panerai would add a new dimension and flare to your collection! Best of luck with whatever you do! I think no matter what you already have an AWESOME collection! |

i wouldn't sell any of my watches to fund a new one. in your really nice collection the seamaster is the one i like the least but i guess it would not sell for enough to fund a new pam.

Very nice collection. Imo you'll regret selling any of them sooner or later.
If forced to choose the Seamaster Chrono as solid a watch as it is, would be the weakest link of the five. But it's your fist real watch... Save a while longer, make the Panny No. 6 and you'll have no regrets. Good luck with whatever you decide. |

Tjena Fredrik,
It depends, The obvious would be to let the Omega Seamaster Chrono go, it is the least expensive piece and a huge dirfference to letting the Daytona go (Pricewise) All the PAM you are looking at are collectors pieces and quite hard to source, maybe start by selling the chrono and buy a 'in production' piece as 000, 005,111, 112, 176, 177 Anyway, when the first PAM enters the Rollies will start to slip away! /masterkiller

Very nice collection. Tough choice. I would probably let the Speedy go since its lacking the wrist time and you already have another chrono.
Good luck! |

The items shown at 12, 11, 9 and 7'o clock (potatoes, mushroom, tomatoes and beans) positions are pretty healthy. The rest, I would pass.

Sell the speedy I have a seamaster also and love the skeleton hands and the details on the bracelet, plus it's tiough as hell and the best water watch that you have in your collection in my opinion.

I`ll have the full english thank you.
I`d never sell a Rolex for another watch. If you haven`t had a Panerai on your wrist yet try to take one for a test drive first just to be sure. |

I'd encourage you to keep the 3 Rolexes and sell one of the Omegas....probably the Speedy since you don't wear it.
