That is the answer, I will leave Patek's to people like my dad, however, I would not mind a specific Vacheron!

I've looked at the market pretty thoroughly and I can't think of a brand that offers as much as Rolex at any price.

There may be others, but when I get my Sub, I think I'll be finished.

Only two brands of watches would satisfy me. Rolex and Omega.
A Speedmaster will likely be my next purchase. A GMT or DJII is also on my short list to add to my Submariner. All the other brands dont excite me in the least.

For me, the first 3 have to be Rolex-- GMT, Sub, DJ. I've had or have all three. The next on my list are probably GP (have a couple chrono's) and JLC, which I have never had.

As much as I like JLC and appreciate Patek and others, they are almost all dress watchmakers who occasionally make sportier models. It's hard for me to justify big bucks for a watch that can't get wet. IMO, a watch with a leather strap was not made for everyday, every situation wear like all Rolex.

The jury is still out on that. The big three all have interesting watches. AL&S and JLC tend to have too big watches for my taste.
