Hello from Las Vegas!
New member here, though I've been lurking for awhile. I want to buy my first Rolex, pre-owned, and I'm looking at Presidents. I really want a gold case, gold dial and gold band.
One thing I've learned from poking around this forum is not to buy from a source who changes the hands, crystal, band, dial, etc so that you end up with a hybrid. It appears to me that BECKERTIME is a good choice because most watches advertised are 100% Rolex with original parts, and they have a very nice selection. Some questions if I may: I would like the dial to have diamonds, but don't know whether to pay the extra cost for a watch with "Rolex" diamonds, or one with diamonds added aftermarket to an original Rolex dial, or one with an aftermarket dial with diamonds? I'm a bit confused on the size of Presidents...is 36mm the largest diameter? If all else is equal when comparing two watches, how much extra should a pre- owned watch be if it is 5 years younger than another I'm looking at? How important is it if some parts of a watch are not original, but are still Rolex? And should I look at watches which don't have original documentation? I don't plan on ever selling my watch. This will probably be the only Rolex I'll ever own, though if I'm happy with my purchase I'll want to buy one for my wife. Any comments would be appreciated. |
