Sorry guys guess I am not old school
Hi fellas
watch update!!! The long sought after pepsi arrived, & being used to the newer Rolex feel, clasp, PCLs engraved inner bezel and so on I just didn't feel any love for the pepsi!!! This is a watch I have wanted since flipping one to get the GMTIIc and sadly I didn't feel the same about it. So I flipped again for a Panerai that I will wear a very robust PAM00025. I think Rolex have spoiled Rolex for me as the older models just dont do it for me now I have worn the newer models. I know this goes against how a lot of you collectors feel and if I had more cash I would have a few older models in my collection but as it is I have four watches that get worn on a regular basis, sadly the pepsi wouldn't get much wrist time as it just didn't feel right! I hang my head in shame.

Some watches just aren't for some people. Myself I have a mixture of new, old, and older. I guess I just like a number of different options. The pepsi is just one of the options that I like.

No need to hang your head in shame sir, why would you think that because someone else loves vintage you would need to love it too? Now if this was a 1655 you flipped we may have some issues here! best to you sir in finding your horological happiness!

I know the feeling. I was confident I would never have the urge to part with my Pepsi (a 3186 at that) but the Sub C has spoiled me to the point where I really don't enjoy wearing the GMT like I used to. Even giving some thought to selling it & becoming a very satisfied one watch guy...

I know the feeling, I hated wearing my 116519 with meteorite dial because of the strap. Beautiful dial. The fricking strap drove me crazy!
So I hardly wore it for the whole year I had it, I say around 40 times tops.. |

To each his own. The only 'collector' you should be concerned about is yourself.
Now, go and enjoy the GMTIIC & don't look back! |

A 1655 or Comex would do the trick!

Dont get me wrong I like the pepsi, but not enough to de-wrist the GMTIIc and that is the reason I flipped it for a watch that would...
