Did I do alright?

Hello everyone, this is my first post on rolexforum and I hope it is alright to ask this. I purchased my first Rolex today. I am very proud to have it, especially on the student budget that I am on. I bought this from a reputable local broker. It is a stainless 1603. I wouldn't be able to rate it on a percentage. It has the original bracelet. I only have 1300 in it, I think I got a heck of a deal.

Congrats and very nice you have a rare dial there with the fat hour markers and even rarer with the original fat hands that match, which are next to impossible to find now.

Great buy..
This is the fat stick dial which Rolex copied from the past
and you now see it in the modern DateJusts and other models.

Agree - neat piece for a very fair price. Vintage DJ are a bargain.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I look forward to learning as much as I can about everything Rolex. To be quite honest I have little to no knowledge of the particularities or scarcity of certain models. So I appreciate the information that has already been provided.

Thanks again everyone.

Welcome to a fellow Louisvillian. Good first purchase! Spend some time around here and you'll learn a lot...and have a list of about 20 models you'll want to buy.

On to more important things...how pumped are you about MKG?

Oh, and of course...

GO CATS.

I think I already have a long wish list, I'll just call it motivation. I'm very excited about the watch.
