Call of Duty - MW3
Early reviews are in from my bro who just started playing the game and he said the graphics are awful and the game play is worse than MW2. Doesn't sound promising - especially coming off BF3 which was incredibly fun.
Thoughts? I'll probably give it a shot this week.

Hold that thought re graphics of MW3, my bro now tells me he might just be having a graphics issue. But anyone who has played, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I'm going to be giving it a very, very wide berth. The game hasn't progressed since COD 4, BF3 is a much better all-round experience that emphasises teamwork instead of running around like a headless chicken!

x2. BF3 was A LOT of fun and challenging - not just running around blasting.

I'm still too hooked on BF3 multi player to move to MW3. I always preferred the single player campaigns on the COD franchise though.

Picked it up at 12:01 last night. I was disappointed throughout the night, but today I started playing kill confirmed game mode and I was having a blast. I think the maps are way too small for domination which used to be my favorite game mode. Overall though, I really do prefer BF3 over MW3 for sure, BF3 takes a couple weeks to get up to a level where you have a proficient soldier...but once you do, there is so much to do it's like a whole different world.

I just checked out MW3 on my bro's computer - completely underwhelmed as compared to BF3. We're both scratching our heads. This is a good comparison video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=25A9q...eature=related
I guess MW3 still uses an old COD engine!? That would explain a lot!

Ugh, and boy does it show. The atmosphere in BF3 seems light years ahead. Still, I bet MW3 will be fun and look forward to playing the single player.

i've had COD for 2 days now, the story mode whilst nowhere near as good as MW2 is still great, graphics are fantastic (at least i thought so, on a 1080 plasma)..so far the London tube station & Navy Seal sub missions have stood out. only been online briefly but agree the maps are small, the same guy killed me 5 times within a short space of time, he's either stalking me or he's got a flying carpet

I've been getting murked on team deathmatch, as bullets are seemingly flying from trees and flowers. But I think once I am used to the maps the game will get much more fun. "Bootleg" is a good map and has padded my stats quite a bit.

early reports are that it will be the biggest selling video game of all time. The local Wal-Mart out here had a competition on Sunday where the winner got the game free, it made the local news, strangely enough
