Missed Ebay Score...1655 Well to me, let me know what you guys think.

First off the presentation of the auction was terrible , but I was willing to take a shot at this deal plus he had a return policy and he was selling all other types of vintage material so I figured go for it. Any way here is the picture and listing tell me what you think. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1320804549.852143.jpg

It seems to me it's hard to get a deal on eBay. Seems like there's often someone willing to pay too much and not just on watches . . . used camera lenses going for more than they go for new on Amazon, etc.

This is a pure disgrace to an iconic timepiece. In addition to the 118235 I am looking for I am also still on the hunt for a complete T<25 1655. I saw this one on the bay as well and almost vomited! I'm usually not harsh when it comes to talking about timepieces, however, this one is a piece of

It was slightly overpriced... I like to consider myself a purist meaning I personally like to collect factory timepieces not tampered with. Seeing this 1655 destroyed by that bracelet did not appeal to me... These are just my thoughts...

I'm not an expert on prices but I must admit I wouldn't have paid that much for a Stainless Steel Rolex without an original bracelet (on that matter I hope you'll change for a bracelet that's at least the good size). This being said, if you're happy with it then enjoy it and wear it in good health! Congratulations!

Um...Carl...ya there? This is the Rolex 'General Discussion' section. I think you're in the wrong section of TRF.

Just saying.

D'oh! What the hell am I doing outside of your "Post a friendly lie" thread!

If I may go back to the main discussion of that thread, I have a question for Charles. Should you change that bracelet will you go with a NATO or an Oyster bracelet?
