I may be too perfectionist, but when I was tooking some macro photos of my SS SUB DATE, I found a white lilttle dot between the 26 & 27 minutes marks.

My question: Is that normal or should a return it to my AD?

Sure it is on the dial and not on the crystal?
mmmhh didn't see the enlargement on bottom right.
If it is on the dial I would definitely go back to the AD

I have no experience with Rolex AD's and having flaws corrected.
On new pieces it should have been picked up by them when checking. Não é nada

Not normal.

Looks like a defect on the dial or perhaps dust. I would take it back... now that's the kind of defect / imperfection that should even make it to the shelves.

If it's a fleck on the dial, any good watchmaker can open it up and dust it off in a few minutes.

If it's a scratch or chip on the dial paint, it's going to be a bit harder to fix.

If it is under warranty, take it back.....

If not, find a watchmaker you trust....I know, it would bug the hell out of me..

Looking at that again...at these huge magnifications it's pretty easy to see.

During normal wearing, I don't know if you could even spot that if you were trying to.

It's something I might find upon inspection with a 10X loupe, catalog in the back of my mind, and then promptly forget...It may not be worth the bother of trying to correct.

I believe it is still easy to see without magnification. Granted that you quickly look at the time you won't see it, but once you start to admire your watch, it would be really noticeable.

I would still encourage Fortunato to bring it back to his AD to get it rectified.

I would take back to the RSC and/or the AD and have them fix. I had the same issue myself recently with a Rolex I bought. Several others have posted on this forum as well. Rolex QC seems to very lacking in dial examination recently. Take it back and fix! Rolex needs to start getting their act together. There is no reason a $5000 or higher costing watch should have any imperfections on the dial itself, wheter lint (which shows sloppy assembly) or a scratch.

Not really a laughing matter at all, Ruben. Believe me, I inspect every Rolex I buy with a fine tooth comb under a powerful loupe right there and then in front of the AD before plonking down a single cent.

Had one awful experience with a white dial Exp-II three years ago when I brought it home (after having made full payment) and discovered a huge gash running right through the black coronet on the dial.

I have to say: The Little White Dot desapeared...I'm did not have time to took it back to my AD! I know it is an year later, but I wondering if this thing can demage the movement, shoud I?

I would get it checked. You are most likely out of warranty now though. I have been told that it is possible for a speck of dust to enter the movement via the date window. That small piece is pretty big compared to the inner parts of the watch. Good luck!
