Rolex Service
Hey guys,
I have a 5 year old sub that I am looking to get serviced at the NYC service center. Any idea roughly how much it would cost? Will they polish the watch as part of the service? Appreciate it. Thanks. |

$600 - $700. Yes, they will polish the watch.

Don't forget you can state "No Polishing please" when you send it - if you want to retain your scars.

Dropped off Explorer 2 at Wempe in NYC. $600 for overhaul, $250 to replace bezel (numbers were scratched up) and replace crystal for $150. All in all, it was about $1,000 but they said it would look like brand new. They also noted I will receive it 2 weeks earlier then if I dropped it off elsewhere.

Anyone know the likely UK cost of replacing a battery and servicing a 20 year old Oysterquartz?

I have another question, when you send it in for service do they ask for the warranty card? I ask because my warranty card has someone else's name on it because I bought it used.

I had just sent in mine through the AD. The AD asked me if I have my warranty card which I said yes. But he never asked me to produce it. I am guessing they can ask for it.

Actually, I'm not sure its the same price. I haven't received the bill, but they said it's whatever rolex quotes them since they are sending it to them. I dont want to falsley advertise, but their customer service is pretty great IMHO.
