Muhle Glashutte?

Anyone have experience owning a Muhle Glashutte? Just curious, as I have my eyes on one of their bracelet models.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Hi wgs,

Muehle Glashuette is a well know watch maker in Germany and the quality is okay.
Most of the movements are coming from Switzerland (Swatch group = ETA)

You can place Muehle Glashuette on the same level like SINN or Oris.

Some well know models from Glashuette : Teutonia 2 and S.A.R. Chronograph.

Best regards,
Alexander

I had a chance to play with one for a little while.
Good watches, powered with reliable ETA movements. As previous poster said, absolutely on pair with more famous brands as Sinn, Oris and such.

I had a Glashutte fleiger. Nice quality, lovely dial and hands, a solid watch. Checkout Ebay.De (Germany)

Adjusted to five positions

Better than some of the over-rated brands out there.

Disappointed with this watch

I ordered the Muhle Glashutte Anataria Datum (see attached pics). I have a 6.5" wrist so I was looking for a smaller watch. At 38mm I thought this watch would be about the right size for my wrist. It is not. The watch looks extremely small on my wrist. My 40mm Omega Speed Pro looks much much bigger than this watch.

The problem is that this watch is not designed for people who have smaller than a 7.5 inch wrist. The watch comes with a leather band and I could not keep the watch on my wrist even when using the smallest hole in the band. Not even close. I don't understand why a company would make a 38mm watch, but then size the band so that no one can wear it unless they have a large wrist.

The other problem I had was with the build quality of the watch. The rotor seemed to be very sticky and not swing around easily. Also the watch made a very loud noise when I wound it. I don't think I got a defective watch, it just didn't seem like high quality.

I love the dial, the history, and the overall design but I just couldn't live with the other issues. I sent the watch back to the AD for a refund.
