Lusting a GMT w/Jubilee bracelet

I have been lusting Dan Pierce's GMT with jubilee bracelet. I went to the AD the other day and found one that was pre-owned. I almost bought it but discovered it was a GMT I and not a GMT II. I than asked if they could put a newer Jubilee bracelet on my 2 year old GMT II. They tried with a bracelet from a DJ. It didn't work. Rats! Anyway I ended up purchasing a Pepsi bezel and a maroon and black bezel. That gives me options through out the year. Maybe when I go to San Francisco one of the ADs there might be able to figure out the Jubilee bracelet thing for me. Until then, I'm still lusting Dan's watch.

Larry,
What year is your GMT? Is it a GMT II?

It's a "Z" series GMT II.

The bracelet is the older style Jubilee with hollow ends.. As you found out, the new SEL Jubilee will not fit..

I'll bet had they tried the bracelet from an older non-SEL DJ it would have fit.

Which also means that this older style Jubilee should fit the Exp-II!!

Bryan,
The older style jubilee will fit your 16710 with the correct end pieces [502 B, to fit the 40mm diameter].

I CAN"T BELIEVE you found an AD in the USA that would attempt the new solid link jubilee on your 16710 or that would [did] sell you 2 bezel inserts without returning the original. Please don't name the AD here. Rolex USA might be listening.

Anyhoo, Bryan glad you're on your way to getting your dream Rolex. Till then, some pics to keep you going.

Larry,
Maybe we need to start the GMT/ jubilee club. Although not rare, you just don't see many compared to other Rolex models.

I'm in also guys. The AD that sold me the bezels is ordering me the jubilee bracelet. Hope to have it in a few weeks. Will post pictures with all the bezels. Thanks Dan and Larry for the pics.

THE GMT looks great with the Jubilee band. It definitely looks much more dressier.

How about a GMT with a WG president bracelet??

I've seen a couple GMTs from the 1970s I think with nips still on the hour markers that have had a president bracelet before.

Bryan,
You've got one great AD there. Glad you've got a jubilee on the way. Can't wait to see the pics.

And Larry, great shots.
