Hi Everybody finally I'm back from holiday and with a gift replica Rolex

As I wrote here before I was at holiday in Bodrum and then Fethiye with my Swiss gf and we decided to make our holiday 1 week longer in Istanbul and it was wonderful 3 weeks holiday for me and my gf bought me a replica Rolex for 50 dollars last tuesday when we were in Istanbul Grand Bazaar it is a green Submariner, even if it is a replica it looks like real and very good quality comparing with it s price I treated it as an authentic ROLEX it already has small logo at even 6 position and gains 30 seconds per day it is valuable for me cause it's a gift from my gf that is living far till I buy an authentic Blue TT sub it will satisfy me alot in my opinion, holiday is over and I'm again alone with my gift replica ROLEX and the forum.

It is a good replica if we take into consideration that you paid only 50. On the other hand is has plenty of inaccuracies.

I had the real one on my wrist yesterday. for those not in the know it would be hard to tell the difference I feel.
I guess we forget that most people don't get to see genuine rolexes up close and personal and most would probably think it real!
It was a nice thought from your girlfriend and so has value to you and that's what matters!

I know it won't be long till you get the real thing, till then you have some great memories of time with the one you love and if the replica reminds you of that then great!

I wish you the best of health and good luck in the move to Switzerland when it happens, mind you live in a beautiful country now!

I was in Izmir once and loved it

Aykun, I have read many of your posts, you have something that is essential in acheiving dreams and that is passion. Keep at it and you will get it. most folks give up just at the point when things happen. I have met a great many succsesfull people and in fact was having a conversation with a client who is just now gaining great succsess in her business, it has taken twenty years for her to get where she is now. she has stuck at it and never once not believe in what she saw as he vision. sure it has been tough but still she followed her passion and that passion is now paying of big time, she started with nothing and now is in the position to buy me a rolex!!!

Good luck to you and follow your dreams and don't be put of by anyones negative comments.
I think this watch will be a motivation for you to get the real thing

Not to me

In fact, your thread is quite interesting as a "study to spot fakes"

And the fake is actually quite good

The most apparant tell-tale sign are the "white gold" (deliberately in quotes!) hour markers whose rims are too thick. The rim of the luminous dot on the bezel is also FAR too thick.

Also, the bezel seems to cover the uppermost half of the winding crown too much.

But otherwise, I think it is a "good copy", even down to the backside of the SEL's.

Thanks for sharing :-)

And now try out one of Jocke's "To Destroy A Fake methods"

Aykun is a really nice guy with a slightly different and refreshing approach in his previous posts and threads.

I believe that he honestly did not forsee how open he was to leave himself to a bit of venom from those who despise the nasty fakes.

A little naive perhaps but still a nice guy.

Pretty good pictures and a little unnerving how much metal and movement you can get for £25 retail. Makes you shudder to think that the real deal costs 150 times as much.

No more pics though Aykun, not of this fake.

IMHO, Aykun is one of the most honest, open and simple guys a person could meet.

He and I have exchanged numerous PMs on various questions he's asked me and I've always found it a pleasure to deal with him.

He's one helluva straight-forward guy!!

I just got it as present, it looks like real cause it's stainless steel, I want to wear an authentic ROlex if it is gold (TT version) cause replicas are not working good with gold and I will ve authentic one too one day.

It is what you have and it is cool that it was a gift from your girlfriend, nothing wrong with that. Who cares that it is a fake, enjoy it and when you get your TT sub it will make the TT sub even more valuable to you. When I was in high school a replica was all I could afford, if people mock you for posting a fake then in my book they should reconsider how arrogant and stuck up they look it's a watch for hell sakes and who are they to mock someone? Shows a shallow side of yourself and you should feel foolish for posting your arrogance in a public "friendly" forum.

I personally have no problem with someone buying, enjoying or posting a replica, and while keeping things light and friendly it is a public display of blatant patent and copyright infringement and a bit unsettling to those who have spent thousands on the real deal.

I am not judging anyone but I can appreciate how this thread might not be well received by all.

With all due respect Aykun you should have thrown it in the Bosphorus.

I was in Fethiye over 20 years a ago, watched a turtle lay its eggs on the beach, such a memorable & beautiful place, thanks for the nostalgia prompt,

I would love to see a side by side photo comparison with this "fake" beside the REAL DEAL with some details of the inaccuracies?
A very nice guy and it’s a pleasure to read your posts but it’s only reasonable to expect some members of this forum not to be impressed with a fake. Their criticism certainly didn’t strike me as anything personal??. Some members have responded quiet strongly in that respect. Imagine posting this picture on a MR2 Body kit Ferrari on a Ferrari forum ?? Actually Id love to see the responses :))

For me pictures of Replica’s, Folex’s whatever you want to call them are good to see for one main reason, To compare with the Original.

Guys, guys...

Obsession is a valued member of TRF. That bloody thing on his wrist is just a stupid watch....so who cares if it's a fake?

If the person wearing it is a nice person....that's all that really matters in the end!!

He just got it as a gift and at least he had the "balls" to be quite open about it!!

Peace - JJ

My girlfriend told me to buy her a fake louis vuitton bag `cause the real deal is too expensive and no one would notice it`s fake. My answer was NO NO NO. Instead I bought her a authentic "GUESS" bag. Just imagine pirate software, altered food, fake this and fake that. If I create something, I wouldn`t want someone to steal my ideas and make a profit out of it. Supporting counterfeit is like stealing money from someone`s wallet. Fake is for "want to be", pretenter, posser, and etc. Can`t afford a rolex? Get a timex and keep it real.

I can TOTALLY understand how someone who cannot afford the real deal would buy a knock-off. I did so myself 20 years ago as a poor student. Some Cellini looking thing.

I don't see the wisdom in posting it on a Rolex afficionado web site but respect his right to do so and support his aspirations to one day acquire a real one.

Again, I feel you should respect the manufacturer and copyright and patent laws. Rolex spends a small fortune protecting its rights, occasionally prosecuting those who violate them, legal fees, etc., etc., and if you think those costs are not passed on to consumers of the real product, you're mistaken.

TRF may be a Rolex Forum, but this is the non-Rolex section. In anyone's book a Folex is a non-Rolex. So, nothing wrong with posting it here.

Aykun, in posting this thread, is just trying to tell us he is pleased to recieved the gift, even if it is a Folex. I would be too, even if my wife gave me a mickey mouse watch.

If at all anyone should be offended by a Folex it should be Rolex themselves.

Aykun, say hi to your gal for me.

The very existence of knock-offs should be a reassurance to every genuine Rolex owner that they bought the good stuff. And, whether the Rolex company appreciates it or not, the knock-offs elevate Rolex's brand equity in the marketplace by creating the perception that a Rolex is something worth imitating.

You'll know when Rolex has lost their edge when they stop making the fugazis.

Nice looking watch, Aykun. Enjoy it, and don't sweat the nay-sayers.

Isn't Adrian is leaving TRF because of people posting such negativity about what others value as well? I will leave it to you to decide who I am talking about.
Enjoy your watch, especially since it is a gift of love.
