FSOT Vintage Omega Speedmaster Mark 4.5 (176.0012 cal. 1045) incl Box & Papers REDUCE
I recently acquired this all original vintage 176.0012 in 82% condition including box, papers, and bracelet. The lovely original sunburst finish is clearly visible but there are a few nicks and scratches on the case, bracelet and the edges of the crystal from nearly 30 years of wear. I have been hemming and hawing over sending it in to get the case and crystal restored, but have decided that someone else may want to wear it as is and wait until the movement clearly needs a service to send it in for full restoration. This watch is powered by the legendary Omega cal. 1045 (Lemania 5100). It has been nicknamed the Mark 4.5 by collectors because it used the same case as a Mark IV and the same movement as the Mark V. (See http://forums.watchuseek.com/f20/bet...-a-603665.html for more info) The bracelet (1162) has some stretch and scuff marks. The movement runs well (about 7-8 seconds fast per day) and looks clean. Sorry I do not have any movement pics but my watchmaker did open the case back for me to verify the serial # on the movement matches the warranty paperwork. The chronograph and day/date functions work properly although the date doesn’t always center perfectly. This watch comes with the original red Omega presentation box, instructions, and completed warranty papers from the original sale from December 1983! It is a vintage watch, so I offer no guarantee as to water resistance. This ad accurately describes this watch’s condition. I’m asking for $2,000 shipped, US deals only (no exceptions). I’ll also consider trades for an Omega SMP 2220.80. I accept wire or Chase Quickpay. For paypal you must cover fees and have great references. I have plenty of references on this and other forums. Please PM me with any questions. |
