AP Millenary 4101 Winner of the Grand Prix d’ Horlogerie 2011!

The new Millenary 4101 has been awarded the first prize in the "Prix du Public" category at the Grand Prix d’ Horlogerie 2011!

And what a stunner she is, Wouldn't you all agree

Here's me trying it out earlier this year

Very interesting watch. I can understand it won

Stepped over this watch online and get "Millenary vibes" from it. Has Cartier been trying to duplicate the AP?

I suggest it's time for an eye examination.

Perhaps not the 4101 Millenary, but look at this one: (the Quincy Jones)

AP sure does have some interesting designs, the same could be said for Vacheron. Patek is pretty blah in comparison designwise IMO.

Matter of interesting designs AP wins by far imo.
VC do have some very cool models but a bit more traditional.
PP actually have one or two models i wouldn't mind having in my collection such as the 5712R.
But my next watch will be a Breguet Marine and if the lotto ticket goes thru a RM11 would be my choice of watch.

I like the looks of Breguet as well but haven't seen one in real life though. Pretty sweet to sport the same brand as Napoleon and Tolstoy wore back in the day I'm saving for either a VC Patrimony or an AP 15202.

Lot of history in that brand for sure.
Some great models you have in mind, Have you looked at the 15300 as well? for a more everyday watch i'd go for the 15300 over the 15202.
But if you are looking for a Patrimony i guess you want something more elegant and dressier. What Patrimony are you looking at?

Yeah, I'm reading up on the RO's, looking at 15202, 15300 and 26300. Stunning all three in their own way.

I'm looking at this Patrimony. Simple, elegant, contemporary.

But then again....

The Lange 1 is irresistable with the off-centre dial. And manuelly wound, which also would be kind of nice. Indicision! But I have alot of time to think it over before my watch fund is there

Edit: Now that I see them on the same page, I think I prefer the Lange 1
