When were the last Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref. 1018 Chronometers produced?
I am trying to swat up on my knowledge of the watch . . .

Ended sometime between 1967 and 1975
That may not help much, but my Dad bought one in 67 (which I now have) and I have a Rolex catolog from 1975 which does not list it - at least a US catalog that does not list it.

The one I picked up today is in the 1,4xx,xxx range . . . |

What production date reference are you using?
From what I'm finding, you watch appears to be from approximately 1965.
