Nice watch!
Well... I am fortunate enough to have both GMTs and like them each but for very different reasons. However, given the choice I would probably not give up the 16710 for the ceramic version. Both are great watches in their own right but since the 16710 is now discontinued it is even more special. Plus, add in the other bezel inserts and both bracelet options and you have 6 watches in one! Just search Dan Pierce here on TRF and you will see what I mean. PS: I have a white Exp II and would definitely recommend keeping the 16710 and getting an Exp II versus just the GMT IIC. |

I prefer the ceramic Subs and GMTs. I don't think you'll regret the swap.

I like the looks equally, but for me the 16710 is way more comfortable than the GMT2c. I wear the 16710 all day without noticing it, but I couldn't wait to get the GMT2c off after just a few hours.

I would say yes. The IIc happens to be my favorite watch in the Rolex line up at the moment so I am a bit biased and own one too

I wouldn't, but if you really prefer the IIc then you should
As was already said, maybe a color change is all you need... |

To the OP-does he 16710 have any special meaning to you? Did you buy it new and "just had to have it" at one time? These questions may help you decide.
I have both gmts you speak of, and both have good and bad points. Good luck with your decision! -nate

Its really subjective, if it was me I would in a heartbeat. The new ceramic models are so much better (in my personal opinion but not everyone will agree) in features, feel and much more substantial than the old ones.

I don't like the ceramic bezel, so I wouldn't. The 16570 is an awesome watch, though!

first of all, you should never sell a watch... only add to the stable.
as a pepsi GMTII owner, i would never sell it for a GMTIIC.

If it wasn't for the green accents on the ceramic, I might say yes... The upgrades to the watch are great BUT I personally would keep your watch, it's so much more versatile plus it looks better with red!
If anything save up and get a GMTc or Sub even |

The ceramic is superior to the old GMT! That being said, I like the old ones too and would rather have both. If you can only have one, get the ceramic!

I wouldn't, I would save a get a GMT II C.
If you sell your GMT 16710 today it's getting harder to replace it but If you wait and save you can always get the gmt ii C
