Fred,
You scored a nice one when you got that Red Sub. My wife would consider that an early Christmas present from her and the kids.

A beautiful example of a Mk.V - congratulations!

When starting the search for my first Red, I quickly began to appreciate the slightly more subtle look of the 'direct printed' dials - the Mk.III,V&VI, and after studying what seemed like dozens of examples of various dials, I even started to note a preference for the font / thichness etc of the Mk.V over the other two.

So, a Mk.V it had to be, and I'm over the moon with it, been on the wrist just less than a week, but I can tell already that this is going to be a keeper.

Mine says hello...

Dan... beautiful sample there! It is becoming harder and harder to find a specimen with evenly matched marker and hands and creamy to top it off... simply love it!

Enjoy your red in good health!

Best,

Fred

Hi Phil!

I did the same thing. I went back and forth btw a white 1680 and 5512 4 liner.. at the end, I like the dome but I love the top hat and the silver date wheel... never a date person.. but at the end, it just looks... GOOD!

Hope all is well,

Fred
