Should there be any concern about this eBay listing of "family heirloom" 1665 DRSD..?

Err Watchout Buddies...sorry for being MIA for looooooog time...
How is everybody here...?

Orchi has not been visiting eBay's listing of Vintage Rolex watches...
for quite long period of time also...

Out of curiosity...has any other Buddies seen this listing of a 1665 DRSD before...?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-SEA-DW...item2eb9f07b2f

Seller claims the watch has had a long n amazing history of adventurous journeys...
Wonders if the Seller has any provenance of such claims...

Any other thoughts? or should there be any issue or worry about this particular listing...?

Best regards
Orchi.

Err, Hello Buddy Orchi,

I'm still trying to learn vintage spotting.
Would I be correct to say the hands look like they've been replaced and therefore the watch is NOT original as stated.
Is it also possible that an after-market Bezel has been fitted?

For someone who is supposed to be located in the US, very poor sentence construction in this listing As for the watch, from one picture alone cant verify. Owner has feedback of 4...Be very aware!

welcome back Orchi, we have missed you and your expertise!

little feedback and kind of poor description would scare me away for sure. plus the hands do look like the patina does not match the rest of the watch.

Hey Orchi! $75K for a DRSD? Even if Pope John Paul II wore it, I doubt it would be worth THAT much!

Too much "story" and too few facts as well as poor writing skills, too few photos and lack of feedback, alltogether too many red flags.

That reads more like a joke than a real listing.

One bad picture. The coronet on the dial is obscured by the second-hand counter weight. Tales of glory without substantiation. Outrageous price.

It's almost as if someone wrote this up just for laughs.

Err Buddies...thanks everyone for being very forgiving of Orchi's MIA...
after so long...

As Orchi wondered off on a long journey to explore n learn more about Vintage Rolex...Orchi ends up being bruised n scared...after nearly getting lost along the way...

Hopes to be back here more often as possible...
to work with everyone here...

Back to this odd listing...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROLEX-SEA-DW...item2eb9f07b2f

1. eBay these days would impose automatic account limit to certain Seller(s)...
who has low history of selling such an item...
Usually such auction listing would have been prevented...
or automatically blocked...

Wonders how this one slip through eBay's protections system...?

2. The one single pictured watch looks like a DRSD Mk.4...
but strangely Orchi fails to understand how the Seller could have missed...
to add more pictures of the watch that he is asking that much of money for...
by claiming the amazing history of the watch without any substantiation...

One question comes to mind...Does the Seller possess this watch to begin with for sale...?

3. Usually a loose DRSD Mk.4 watch without provenance or accessories...
would be selling for around $20,000 + or -...
Logically nobody would be enticed to pay the Seller's asking price...
of $75,000

Wonders how would eBay benefit from this listing...
if the possibility of materializing the sale is going to be...
remotely slim...or even impossible...?

How much would eBay make if the listing does not sell...?

4. For plainly the lack of descriptions...low history...
pictures of the watch...n asking exorbitant price...
do you think eBay would see this listing as breaching any violation...
to eBay's selling...n Buyer's protection policies...?

This scam is gone Orchi.......

Thanks for the head up.

This listing (200688040751) has been removed, or this item is not available.

looks like chamfers are completely gone, based on the one photo, but either way, i wouldn't buy a 75k watch based on one photo.
