Perhaps I haven't shoped for jewels in a long time and I'm not an expert but isn't this price a bit...well do I really need to say it?

At this price you might as well add a couple of millions and buy the Taylor-Burton pear!

I agree. The price is ridiculous. That's exactly why I posted it up. Haha.

Plus, I would not be making a purchase like that at Costco, but if you could return it anytime, per their policies, it would not be a bad deal if you HAD to take it back.

I knew I saw those price tags somewhere! I bought a 14kt yellow gold bracelet and a 14kt two-tone chain at Costco once and remembered I had a good price on them compared to some jewelers. They have some nice pieces but at this price I think I'd even consider Birks or Cartier before that!

I'd definitely would want the "AD Experience" if I were spending that kind of cheddar on a rock. Plus, I better be marrying Brooklyn Decker or some VS Super Model if I were to give a woman that for her lifetime commitment.

I'd rather have a modest home or 10-15 Platinum, YG, and WG Rolex references; all purchased from our TRF sellers.

I don't think it is a ridiculous price, it is a 4 ct diamond with a VVS2 clarity, quite a stone if you ask me.

It's ridiculous in a sense of wastefulness, not value. I feel paying that much for a diamond ring is a bit nutzo. That's just me though.

I own a Jewelry store, and that IS A RIDICULOUS price IMHO. I can sell you the same stone for half that, with papers.

LOL. Yeah. They also have a decent watch selection...Around 15-20 Rolexes, 10-20 Tag Heuers, 5-10 IWCs, etc. This is a brand new Costco and I plan on getting a membership soon. Not for jewelry or watches (because I'd rather go to an AD/certified gemologist), but for the great electronics and also bulk food item deals.

Wow, they actually stock Rolexes? it's been many years since I saw a Rolex for sale at a costco. What models did they have and how was pricing?

There have been a few threads on Rolex being spotted in Costcos. I have no idea where they are getting their watches. I spotted a YG Daytona on a leather strap in the NYC Costco for $15,000 which was a pretty good deal. They also had a couple of DJ watches in addition to a couple of IWCs.

I saw a Daytona, a few DJ's, some GMT's, an explorer, etc. The prices, if I remember correctly were a decent amount lower than my AD. I may go back this weekend and try to get some watch pictures w/ prices. If I do get pictures, they'll be posted here right away.

Wait... You'd insist on going to an AD to buy a Rolex, yet you'd put Costco food down your gullet? Srsly?

Haha. I don't shop at Costco yet. It's a newly built Costco and I wanted to see what all of the hype was about. They allow you to "tour" their stores without a membership. The prices were great...Not sure about the quality though. I haven't heard anything negative about the product quality. Is there something I should be aware of?

Most stuff at Costco is name brand stuff but in bulk. The do have their own Kirkland brand but you can find lots of great deals on name brand products.

That is a decent diamond with good colour, clarity and of couse carat according to the picture but 4 carat is not a practical size on the finger (not that I could afford that price of course ).

BTW that appraisal price could almost buy you a decent house here in Australia but not the sale price of that ring!

Now WHY can't I find one like that on the beach with my metal detector...

On a similar note, after Kobe's infidelity issue in Denver, he bought his wife a FOUR MILLION Dollar ring as a make-up present.... Did anyone ever see a picture of it? I'd really like to see what a FOUR MILLION Dollar ring looks like....

I think this is it...Not 100% though. Found it on google images. is that thing sized? Most likely just too heavy to stay up right!

Look the stone is falling to its side, its so big it can't stay upright. 4 million dollar for a ring is an alien concept to me, I can't comprehence it!
