looked online and saw that the show is open to visitors with 1 day and 8 day passes at a cost in currency I don't know?

has anyone attended and was it worth the trip?

The CHF is currently quite close to the USD. An 8 day pass is about $160.

If you're not familiar with the currency, you might not realize that Basel is in Switzerland.

Not everyone knows everything.

That's why TRF is here.

Hence, my post. Figured OP might have thought it was in their local country of origin. :)

IMHO, A trip to Switzerland is worth it; a side-trip to Basel also worth it.

Price of admission to see the most unbelievable display of watches?
...depends on your interests.

Those in the trade keep current with developments first-hand. Sightseeing alone is a 50-50 proposition.

The admission is more than reasonable.

It's the trip to Europe and the hassles with the TSA that prevent me from even thinking about it.

I guess if I fall headlong into a ton of money, I might consider it. I really would love to experience that.

You will not find a room anywhere close to
Basel the whole length of the watch fair.
if you go, you'll most likey stay a town or two
away from Basel.

Reserve a room now for Baselfair 2013.
