looks amazing i kind of agree with above regarding the Nato...
would you consider a bit more traditional leather strap, perhaps a nice cordovan?

Watch is fine-- strap is less so. Vintage watch on dressier leather would be a nicer look, IMO.

Do subs look good on lizard or croco? I think the threading on the Pam would look too casual for a suit. IMHO of course.

I've had dinner with several businessmen wearing G-shock type watches with a suit or tie and slacks. That watch looks MUCH better IMHO. (I realize that both are not really accepted, but the Rolex is better)

I think it looks great and in all honesty if you aren't trying to show your watch most shirt sleeves and jackets cover your watch the majority of the time, and with today's fashion a little fun under the shirt cuff is stylish.

Also, if you were in a business meeting the only person who would really notice would be a fellow WIS and therefore they would be drooling....

Actually, and while it may not be ideal with a suit, IMO there aren't any NATOs that look as good as this Khakhi one with this watch... And it is so comfortable...

If you could manage a shirt with brown or khaki stripes, IMO it would harmonize even better. Still, looks fine to me. Cookie-cutter sober attire is never as interesting as extremely nice clothing with a tiny hint of wit. (Relatively downscale watchband: tiny hint of wit. Mickey Mouse tie: giant dollop of clueless.)

My personal taste is a khaki with a brown suit and a grey for a black suit.

to the OP, I think your watch is a beauty and certainly has enough cache to wear with a suit. I picked up my first Rolex this week and its also a meters first 5513 (also a 68 im told).

I wear a suit everyday and my 5513 will be my daily wearer. As yours looks in a lot better shape than mine you should know that at least 1 other person is wearing an old 5513 with a suit!!!!!

Its currently on a nato as I want to preserve the original bracelet - Im on the look out for a stylist leather nato strap for it - but I think the watch is versatile enough for suit wear in a solid block colour (admiralty grey, black, khaki, blue). There are some very nice and dressy leather nato's out there from what I can see.
