Availability and price of the new Exp. II 42...

...just in case anyone is interested - just got back from a cruise and 2 of the ports were Grand Cayman and Cozumel. Both had the Exp. II 42 in stock in both black and white dials and prices were 5% below US list and another 5% off that without even asking. Both dealers said they aren't flying out of the cases.

Nice to hear that the prices are somewhat below MSRP. Before I deployed, I stopped by my local AD and the lady was telling me that they are all sold-out and getting one at MSRP wouldn't be possible. Kinda annoyed me since I had bought my first Rolex from there.

Well, I guess when I get back I'll see what she says now.

To me I would wait for prices to come down before I bought a new model and now it seems like that is beginning to happen. Sometimes I can be a patient man.....but only sometimes!!!

Shop around. No need to pay MSRP. Discounts on the 216570 are out there.

There are a handful of white and black dial Explorer IIs in the case here in Scottsdale. Some ADs were willing to discount.

they are still in the back room by most of the AD's by me. you have to ask for them and they are only selling to existing customers at the place where i bought mine.

i would have preferred to pay less, but i am happy with mine, even at msrp.

Not many over here in the UK and most of them are spoken for:bang head:

Most of the deals appear to be everywhere apart from the UK

But if one preserve's then one will triumph.
