Rolex doesn't allow their US dealers to sell loose parts, so if you want to do it the easy way, bring it to a Rolex authorized shop and let them deal with it.
If you must do it yourself, you might be able to find a dealer with the parts laying around who is willing to break the rules. I lucked into a shop that had a Pepsi GMT bezel on my first try, but I've heard reports from others who have tried dozens of dealers to no avail. Once you have the parts, the click spring is simple, and just looking at a photograph will tell you exactly what you need to do. Getting the bezel off is the hardest part, and that just takes some careful prying with a butter knife. I put my watch in a zip-loc bag and pry through the bag to prevent scratching and losing that tiny little spring. Good luck. |
