I have an idea. Anyone game?

Pick a Rolex and wear it for the next month as you usually do. If you use a winder, lay it down in different ways, or almost let the power reserve drain and then wind by hand, just wear it as normal.

Now here on this page post the time and date that you coordinated the time with a time server. Check back here in 30 days and see how far off you are.

20 seconds? 20 minutes? Do no adjusting, just post here that you are starting and then in 30 days you can come back, edit the post and insert the difference. It will be interesting to see how far off we are.

Watch: Rolex TT GMTII Anniversary edition, purchased December 2006.

I should, too. However: I just got my balance wheel replaced and I have been told (suggested) that it needs to "settle in" as if it were new. The watch was a month old when it went out, but I won't go there now. Seems to be true as it tends, so far, to gain or loose 1-2 sec/day at random. I think I'll wait and observe its performance for a while first.

I lost 25 seconds in the last month.

When I go to bed I put the watch on the night stand facing me, which means the crown is down. I think that slows it down, right?

How did you all fare?

Anyway, while I had my SS Sub Date, it was consistantly 2.5 secs fast a day for all its worth.

I have been checking my watch for the last 2 months since it came back from being regulated.
First month slept with the watch on and never removed it. Second month on the bedside cabinet at night crown up.
Gained 1 second every day both months so I am stunned at this watches accuracy.
Set the watch on the first of each month 0800 GMT.

I'm probably a poor data point anyway as my watch is still breaking in. In any case I'm very impressed with this watch and regret being such an anit-Rolex snob for years. Really nice watch. Looks good, functions very well and appears to be very sturdy. Getting more wrist time than I envisioned.

This brief experience has me seriously thinking of dumping my chronos to offset the price of a WG Daytona. That should be attainable before the end of the decade unlike the SS ones.

Sept 9, 9:45-Sept 29, 9:45-20 days-480 hours-lost 18 seconds.

My SS Sub Date is +2 a day steady since returning from RSC two Saturdays ago.

GMT II is +1.5 a day.

EXP II Black face is same, but still running in.
