What do you consider 'quality' about your Rolex?

I have a 116610 black Submariner, and I feel the best quality part on most Rolexes is the quality of the finish (polishing, brushing, etc.) Also how nicely the bracelet looks and feels (each link, the clasp mechanisms, etc, is just machined beautfully).

Agreed, everything about it is "QUALITY" IMO. For me the fact that they are so damn durable and can take just about anything I can is the best selling point

I think the entire thing. They are so well made they last for many decades. They thought about every part of the watch and how they can make it last.

it chisels down to perfection, quality materials, and percision craftsmanship. Not to mention their global involvement in the arts, culture, travel, politics, business, society, civilization, personal acheivement and I could go on. Thats what I call quality.

Ps. having said that, my DJ kinda keep poor time. It keeps ticking but its always been fast. in another year or so it will be five years new and I will have it serviced - hopefully the problem will be fixed.

The 3135 movement is hard to beat for toughness I think,after that I`d have to say that everything else about the watch represents quality.

A great mechanical watch, made by a great company. Rolex SA is a charity that happens to make watches. I like that.

The marketing too. I know that it's there purely to make me spend money but who can look at the "If you were..." ads and not want a Rolex?

If you were flying the Concorde tomorrow, you'd wear a Rolex...i'm HOOKED!

The hour hand on my DJII ends perfectly at the edge of the date window. This is just one example of attention to detail and perfection that Rolex is famous for.

For me, on my 14060 sub...it's the solid feel of the triplock crown when manually winding and screwing it down. It gives confidence that the crown is not going to let water in. Unfortunately the twinlocks on my EXP II and GMT II don't quite give the same feel, but it's not really an issue as I enjoy them on dry land.

I find the whole package of my Sub C screams quality. The quality for the price is second to none (with the new Omega POs coming in a close second IMO.). Sure there are many other brands that give the same quality or better but get ready to spend $25k++++ for a SS model like the nautilus or AP ROO Chrono.

I have to go with the movement.

Sure, the fit and finish thing is tied up in a neat little package, but it's the movement that continues to impress.

The Rolex organization is nothing to sneeze at either.
