movement question

What is the difference between the 3135 and the 3136 used in the DJII?

Thanks...

The main difference is the paraflex schock absorber.

The blue parachrom haispring is also guaranted in the 3136, no official issue have been made for that in the 3135 except for SDDS and Sub-C.

Probably also the date wheel diameter is larger for the DJ2 compared to the DJ.

The 3136 contains Rolex patented Paraflex shock system.. Since the early KIF systems are also patented, this requires that Rolex machine the plates that hold their shock system differently than KIF.. Can't infringe on somebody elses patents..

For this reason, the movements have different numbers because these main-plates are not interchangeable..

It is unlikely that there is any significant functionional difference between the two, and very likely that most of the other parts are the same.
