41MM Day Date II

Just curious which is more popular to the masses today. WG vs. YG

to each his own, but, for DD, prefer the 36. amazingly, for me, i think i'd even prefer it in YG. really warmed up to the gold.

+1 more for yellow gold. Nothing like the color of Rolex 18k yellow gold. I am warming up to rose gold for the right watch/dial combination.

I suppose looking at a number of white and yellow gold DDII's in the secondary market and calculating an average discount from MSRP might be the most objective way to gauge popularity in the market.

Yes, except for the bezel (and, if you want, the hands and the numbers on the dial). But it's still (i) a stainless steel watch and (ii) a Datejust II, as opposed to a white gold or yellow gold Day-Date II.

Still, it is a nice looking watch.

With respect to the OP's question, I would say yellow gold.

While my choice is probably apparent to those who have read my posts, I must say I've seen WG DDII white Romans in real life, and it was fantastic.

YG for sure!!!!!! 41mm will be the way to go for the next 50 years. 36mm is too small for casual wear IMO - 41 can do both wonderfully.

Between the two I will choose YG as personally if I want gold it should be yellow and glittery.

I prefer the 36 mm as well but either way my pick is the yellow gold!

YG on the DDII

I prefer white metals usually, but on the DD I prefer YG or RG.

YG! Day Date!! I owned the Rose Gold Day Date with a smooth bezel 36 mm. I just could not read it.

Hope to own the YG DayDate II someday soon.
