I wonder why/how they all have square jaws. I know steroids will do that to an adolescent boy going through puberty, but I would imagine these women were fully developed BEFORE they started body building, and thus BEFORE they could have taken roids-- if they took any at all.

Oh yeah, there's steroids there alright. They can't get that kind of definition otherwise.

So roids can change the facial/bone structure of an adult?

At a guess its just dehydration highlighting the already existing bone structure.

The steroids would be necessary for the muscle definition. I believe the HGH would be responsible for the bone structure changes.

Very interesting. I wish some of the doctors in here would chime in. It appears that certain characteristics are so pronounced that these ladies all appear to be siblings, despite some are of different races. The common "traits" seem to be 1) large, angular jaws 2) square chins-- square to the point of being parallel to the ground (as opposed to a typical female chin tends to be small and pointy), and 3) high cheekbones. Granted #3, high cheekbones may be more pronounced due to intentional dehydration to reveal definition, nevertheless, they do seem to be high by any standard.

No roids cant but hormones can and do if abused. I'd say this constitutes abuse.

I can appreciate a very fit, athletic women's body just like I can appreciate a man's toned physique. But it's hard to believe that they are healthy looking like that. Looks like they have some sun damage, too.

We have several body builders (Chris - where are you) in our group and I wonder what they would say.

I must say I respect these women. It takes an enormous amount hard work and fortitude to build something like that.

I don't know how bodybuilding training works but to me it looks like there has be to some kind of chemical assistance involved.

That has to be a given. Steroids, hormones, or a combination. No female body could look like that through diet and exercise alone, I'd bet my biceps!

And I assume the same is true for at least some male bodybuilders also . . . some of them look beyond what I would think is achievable through natural means.

Note that every single woman looks almost exactly the same. It's due to anabolic steroids in high doses. Their voices are also very deep. It's definitely a form of body dysmorphia. Woman-to-man transsexuals take similar steroids in much lower doses to achieve parts of the transformation.
